When you contact us to report a commercial claim, we'll ask some initial questions and assign a claims representative to your case. They will be able to help you with your immediate needs, and guide you through the next steps of the process.

Commercial auto claims

If you get into an accident with your commercial vehicle, Progressive focuses on getting you back in business as quickly and easily as possible. We feature the following services to help you at the scene of an accident and throughout the entire claims repair process.

Immediate Response Vehicles

Immediate Response Vehicles or IRVs are white SUVs with the Progressive logo on the side. They transport our claims professionals wherever you need them: to repair shops, tow yards, your house or your work to help resolve your commercial vehicle claim quickly and accurately.

Roadside Assistance

If you select Roadside Assistance coverage, you’ll be protected in case your commercial vehicle breaks down on the road. Roadside Assistance coverage will cover the cost of towing your vehicle to the nearest qualified repair facility.

Roadside Assistance also covers labor, up to one hour, including:

  • Flat tire change
  • Battery jump-start
  • Emergency fuel and fluid delivery
  • Locksmithing

Rental Reimbursement

Rental Reimbursement provides rental vehicle coverage for a maximum of 30 days if you have a claim that is covered under Comprehensive or Collision coverage. Daily rental reimbursement limits vary based on the weight class of your vehicle.

Concierge level claims service

If you get into an accident, you can choose to use one of our Concierge Service Centers. All you have to do is make an appointment to drop off your commercial vehicle and we take care of the rest - from writing estimates to arranging repairs with a body shop in our network of repair facilities. We take care of your claim from start to finish — and we guarantee the repairs for as long as you own or lease your commercial vehicle.

Auto claims inspections and estimates

Progressive Commercial auto claims are handled very similar to our personal auto claims. A representative who specializes in commercial auto claims handling will generally be able to contact you by the end of the business day.

During the inspection, we'll assess the damage to your vehicle and provide you with an estimate for repairs. Your representative will also answer any questions you have about your coverage, deductibles, and the next steps in our auto claims process.

Our representatives are equipped with our Immediate Response Vehicles (IRVs) to help get them wherever they are needed to help you with your commercial auto claim. Destinations could include tow yards, service stations, or the scene of an accident.

At the scene services

Your representative will be able to help you with your immediate needs, such as arranging a tow truck and scheduling your repairs.

If you need a rental car, your claims representative can make arrangements for one. Your rental may be covered depending on your policy coverages and the circumstances of your claim.

Auto repairs made easy

Shopping around for repair estimates can be frustrating and time consuming. If you choose to take advantage of our concierge level of claims service, we'll take care of all the details. You simply drop your vehicle off at one of our Service Centers. Your representative can help you decide what is best for you.

At the Service Center, we'll estimate damages and contact shops within our selective repair network to work out a price and schedule for the repairs. All of the shops within our repair network are required to adhere to our very strict Network Shop quality requirements.

After the repairs have been made, your vehicle is returned to the Service Center where the repairs are inspected for quality. If the repairs are up to our standards, we contact you to pick up your vehicle. A representative will be there to answer any questions you have. And then you're done!

You can track your auto claim any time by calling your representative or you can track your claim online. Also, when you have repairs done through a Progressive Service Center, you'll drive away with a limited lifetime warranty on the repairs for as long as you own the vehicle.
